how to activate CLID on MICS 4.0 /voice mail appilication module 4.0.04A
Line Cards are CLI
incoming Calls show Line 1 or line 2 depending on which line it came on

Thanks

Is the NAM answering the calls after 0 rings? you may have to set it to answer after 1 or two rings.

what do you get after the call is answered?

Have you tried ftr 811?

AA is programed to answer the call after 4 rings
and that is exactly what it does
it answer after 4 rings
the displsy show the line that the call is coming on
so if the call is coming on line 1
the display show line 1
tomorrow i will try again Ftr 811
Thanks

Are the truck card lsds or caller ID card if thy are LSDS card you will have to replase the truck cards. Is caller id on on the line and on the set

Thank you Hughrunyan
i remember Line Cards are marked CLI
analog lines (pots)and the co sends the info
today the business is closed, i will check again tomorow

ftr811 does not show the calling number
line cards are CLI
Lines are POTs

sorry exsmogger, i did not get that
Did you program for number first? Name first is default?

Thanks all

When an extension is programmed to be a caller ID set there is an option to have name or number appear first. The default setting is name first which is why you'd only see "Line 1" for call info. Change this setting to number first to see caller ID.

Thanks exsmogger
will try it this morning

Ftr 811

programming set, under terminal and sets, the only option is the name fr the set

thanks

Should be under Terminals & Sets - Telco Features. Look for 1st Display and change the setting there. If you don't see it there, look under Terminals & Sets - Telco Features - Feature Assign

Thanks Exsmogger

under terminal and sets,
Teleco feautures,
1st display :number
Caller ID: Y

calling from one set to anther, display the calling set dn
but
still, inbound call phone number does not appear on called sets dispaly

if i use my own mobile phone
or any phone not hooked on norstar and dial the main number,
the system rings on reception set (DN200)
and the display on reception phone does not show the calling line ID, feature 811 does not work,

Yes, the cards are labled C1
and the system was showing the inbound calling line numbers
at its original location
then it was disconnected; moved and installed at a new location,

is it possible that C1 line cards become defective and does not show the calling line number?

Did you also assign the set as a caller ID set for each line? This should be under Terminals & Sets - Telco Features - Feature Assign Press SHOW when you see Feature Assign, enter line 001, press SHOW, Caller ID set change to Y. Repeat for all lines.

Teleco Featur
Class assignment
show line
List
Line001
call log set:Y
Extl Vmsge set:y

Make sure the sets you want to have CI have ringing on those sets. If so go under Terminals and Sets in programming, go to telco features hit show when it says feature assign, hit show again, and make sure lines are set to be caller ID. This has to be done under each set you want to have CI. Also make sure it is set to Name or Number on tab after feature assign, depending on which you prefer.
