Accpac 5.1 Memory Replaced&Now Can not Access Many Features

Had to reinstall memory in computer and had some registry corruption

Now can not see the item description,edit or add new lines in OC in 5.1 a

Any ideas? Pevasive Engine running


Also can not see order using finder and must manually put in th order number

 
thanks again. I was saying can I go to the workstation or do I need to be at server to check the Customization directory?
When I logged in at W/S, it is blank when you open but then you can use finder to see User list.
I uploaded to ftp site the screen shot on first login.
Are you saying I select user and VIRDAT from the user drop down options?
 
To check the customization directory, you login to Accpac wherever it's installed, either workstation or server, then go to Administrative Services/Customization Directories.
 
Ok I did that.

Fine, then you don't have any customization directories.

So explain again what you mean by "system manager worked but not pulling right forms
 
means now we can see the data but when we print it is pulling up an old form
so it does not have updated headers on the various fields.
 
How do you know it's an "old form"? Be more specific. Exactly what are the "updated headers" that are wrong?
 
for instance instead of delivery date it should say closing date
It was a customized form.
 
if I logon another W/S using that user name will it show correct setting?OR do I need to log on as ADMIN?
 
You need to login as ADMIN to set it, but the setting is global from that point.
 
if a global setting why would Arvie's not assume that setting once the SYSTEM Manager SVC pack 3 was reinstalled?
 
The service pack has nothing to do with this. The only reason it would be different is if that workstation had a different value for HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ACCPAC International, Inc.\ACCPAC\Configuration\SharedData. That has to be common amongst all workstations.
 
but not all w/s use the same forms as some people do purchae orders and order confirmations for import and others for domestic.
Perhaps he just needs to select correct one?
 
Fine, then set different directories for different logins. It's not rocket science.

It sounds like this install has had more issues than just one PC with memory problems.
 
is there anyway we can work together so I can compensate you for time?
Accpac won't support 5.1 dinosaur.
To set different directories for different logins I would like to learn more about how to do?
 
I'm too busy, and you can't afford me. From that last screen shot,

For the userID, put in each user who needs special reports.
For the Company ID, put *
For the Customization Directory, put in each user's custom folder

But this assumes that these folders actually ever existed. I doubt it. I bet that you're selecting forms such as POPOR04, the stock version, and you should be selecting POPO{xyz}, which is the customized one.
 
I'm guessing there are local installs and the custom reports are on each C drive.

to give you idea
company name is virgo iii ltd
so anything with vir was created custom
so you are saying create folder on local drive to these forms and then put all in one folder and put that path in the directory?
 
Look for multiple copies of folders like 0E51A\ENG or PO51A\ENG with just a few RPT files in them. Those are your custom folders.
 
0E51A\ENG or PO51A\ENG do I just put this then as the customization directory? do I put
C:\ARVIE\0E51A\ENG
C:\ARVIE\PO51A\ENG
