Still somewhat of an Access novice. I am looking to purchase 1-2 good Access manuals, but there are so many choices out there. Any suggestions are greatly appreciated.

Access [Version Number] Developer's Handbook is the best book I know of. It will be above your head for a little while, but the best way to learn is to hang with the experts, and these guys are the real deal. Just read through it slowly while you're working on your project. You'll be amazed at how quickly you can pick it up if you just soak in it for a while.

Take a look at the Developer's section of the site for some helpful fundamentals.

Another excellent if un-hearlded reference is to simply the Help files and sample databases. While the jargon (Ms. Speak) can be a bit daunting, most of the third party stuff is not much better and (possibly) a bit more expensive. A large part of the 'learning curve' for many is just to know the basic functions, but some time spent in just browsing the topics in the index goes a long way toward overcomming this and providing a decent intro.

As far as I know, this applies to most of the Ms. Speak languages and their docs.

Hi

Could agree more with the previous two posts

Access Developers Handbook is excellent

Access help would answer more that 50% of the questions posted in the Access forums of Tek-Tips, if people only took the trouble to read it!

Good luck
