I have a Norstar MICS here and also run an Asterisk box in front of it. I won't explain why...it would take too long but let's just say, we use it for SIP. In any event...here's my problem.
As with most systems such as ours, to gain access to an outside line, you have to dial a 9 (or whatever). We do this for outside linepool access to our T1. However, when we need to dial into the Asterisk box to get our voicemail...we need to dial an 8. The problem is...the Norstar expects 7 to 10 digits to be entered after the '8' but we only have to dial 3 more. Is there a way to tell the Norstar to only expect 3 digits after the 8 has been dialed?
is this programmable somewhere? I've looked and looked but didn't see anything.
TIA
