How do you disable access 2000 autofill????? If you enter a 1 tab 2 tab.. then 3 etc, etc pops up automatically. I can't find a way to do it and from what I've heard it's not an option. Does anyone know how to do this?

Hi Chris,

I noticed that no-one had responded, and I now know why.

What the hell is Access 2000 'autofill'?

In what context? Where are you when this happens? In a form, report, query builder?

Explain in more detail please.

Yes, it's called AutoFill. If you search the MS website at their support pages you'll find it (or it's limitations anyway). . Search for Access 2000 and AutoFill. The second result will explain all.

The problem arises when working in tables. If you enter a 1 tab 2 tab... the 3 is automatically placed in the next field. Same scenario for 5, 10...15 or whatever. There's no known way in Office 2000 to turn this off and it's creating extra work for our data entry employees.

Thanks for any help

Hi Chris,

Sorry, read the same help that you did...

If you design a form to do the job, there isn't a problem.

Companies will insist on quick and dirty application development (to save time and money), so you're stuck with MS table functionality (which may cost time and money).

Kind regards,

Darrylle
