I have an Option 11 with one attendant console. My customer wants calls waiting to be answered to forward to the auto attendant (call pilot) after 4 rings when the attendant is on a call. I set the AADN to the call pilot (4444) and it isn't working. The books refer to the timer settings, which I cannot locate. Am I on the right track with what I am trying to accomplish? I see the timers for attendant queuing but I don't think that applies as there is no ACD function here. Somehow when programming the AADN I caused the console to show busy when pressing the night service key, found I had to reboot to get that back to normal.

Attendant Alternative Answering (AAA) is for calls that are already buzzing on an idle loop key.
Attendant Overflow Position (AOP)is for calls that are in the attendant queue.

You may want to activate both features. The implementation steps are in the Features and Services Fundamentals book 1.

Don't forget that the CallPilot SDN table will need an entry for 0 and/or the LDN.

I did try AOP DN and set the timer however calls did not forward to auto attendant, simply rang unanswered>. I presume the Call Pilot is already set as it works properly when the console is in night mode. Any other thought?

The book says "Calls will not be rerouted to the Attendant Overflow Position DN when
• Calls are on an Integrated Services Digital Network (ISDN) or Electronic Switched Network (ESN) network.

This is my situations, the calls are coming over a PRI, any other suggestions? That's probably why it did not work.

I remember seeing that too when I set it up a while back but it still worked on incoming PRI trunks for me.
So I thought maybe they meant if the overflow position DN is on another node. Not sure what to say about yours. I will try to check at a site if I have some time next week.
