Hi! I need to find a fix real quick for the error above.
The users has thousands of documents done in word 97 with
tables and some of the documents that she has been editing
becomes corrupted and shows up with this error. Word XP
freezes up when the corrupted document is open. The
problem is the error is not consistent. Sometimes I can
open the document without any errors and edit and save,
and reopen. Sometimes out of the blue, the errors will pop
up and once it does, it will not go away.

This error was supposed to be fixed in Office XP,
according to the article Q287398
PLEASE HELP! I need a solution ASAP
THANKs in advance
.

No time to look up the article. Providing the link is much more helpful...

Anywayz!

Try saving the file as RTF.
CLOSE IT.
Open the RTF again.
Save it as a DOC.
Close it.

See if that helps. It usually does. Anne Troy

Sorry, this is the link.
Anyway, i could save it as html and open and save it back as doc. my only concern is that this only happens once in a while and is there a way to prevent this? And the ones that has the errors are already corrupted. IT will be a tedious process for me to convert each tables in these documents.
Does that means all the documents that has a table will have this corruption problem?

Why is this happening in WORD XP when they specifically said that it is already fix?
