I have a new e machine with WinXP Home installed on OEM drive.
I want to take the hard drive from an old computer that is running Win98SE on it. There is a lot of data on this older hard drive that would take forever to transfer onto CD ROM. I have tried installing the older hard drive in the new machine but when I try to access it , I get an erro message saying that the hard drive is not formatted and asks if I would like to format it. I know if I format the HD , all of the info will be destroyed. Any suggestions on how I can access this drive without reformatting? Or am I relagated to copying each and every file on the old drive?
