96xx phones not picking up DHCP options 1

Phones have their own voice vlan, and using the DHCP option string below they do pick up the MCIPADD Ip address and able to connect to the phone system. HOWEVER, the HTTPSRV is not being picked up. This prevents the phones form downloading new firmware and also the new screen-saver we have setup. I've manually put the HTTPSRV into the CRAFT Network menu, and eveything works.

What am I missing?

====
on a Cisco device:

option 242 ascii "MCIPADD=10.37.56.2,HTTPSRV=10.37.56.2,HTTPDIR=/, VLANTEST=0"
====

Thank you!

PS: it's a large enviroment approx 300 phones. cant do it manually on all.

I never set a HTTPDIR setting.... also the string setting the VLAN should only do that, once in the correct VLAN then issue a string containing the other stuff :)

Also shouldnt it be HTTPSRVR in the string not HTTPSRV

Kevin, thanks of picking up on that difference. You are right.

amriddle01, so you just omit the directory element completely from the string?

It should be like this:

option 242 ascii "MCIPADD=10.37.56.2,MCPORT=1720,HTTPSRVR=10.37.56.2,VLANTEST=0"
HTTPSRVR is needed, you missed the last R.
You also did not have MCPORT set which is also needed.
And you heed http and not https.
HTTPdir is only needed when you have a http server and the files are not located in the root of the folder.

BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!
