Upgraded a IPO 500v2 essential edition with embedded voicemail 7.0.36 to 9.1 and lost all group AA menues and group mailbox greetings. I went from 7.0.36 to 9.0.5.0 build 972 then up to 9.1.0.0 build 437.

I also have and old bug I have had before, when a user copies a voicemail to another user the message is cut off. I had this bug in 9.0 and never did get it fixed the client just uses voicemail to email and forwards the email as a work around.

Any one else have this issue? Or know of a way to fix the issue with copying voicemails to other users?

Clean install on R9.1 is the way to go for now.
(You probably dragged config issues/bugs with you when going up from R7.0)

Just like VMPro won't tell you your setup is bad when upgrading, but on export/import .mdb you get warnings for everything unsupported.

Kind regards

Gunnar

Interesting... Release Notes R9.0 tell to upgrade first to 8.0 or 8.1 then up to 9.0. Release Notes R9.1 tell to upgrade first to 8.1 or 9.0 then up to 9.1. Isn't there the step throug 8.0 or 8.1 missing?

I followed the release notes for 9.1 and like you point out there is no step through 8.0 or 8.1. The notes say "8.1.1.0 or 9.0" I considered going to 8.1 first, but a manufactures document should be correct.

Do you think if I stepped through 8.1 this might not of happen? I have two other systems I need to take to 9.1. I am waiting on my distributor to get me my demo upgrade so I can test by going to 8.1 then 9.1

You need to upgrade through late 8.1 or 9.0 first or the system will not boot at 9.1. The bootlaoder needs expanding to accept the larger bin file and this is what the step does :)
