7942 - User hears own voice in headset,..

Little stuumped with this issue,. one of our agents can hear her own voice in the earpiece of the headset,. I have tried it myself and indeed its quite offputting.

Tried a new smart cable and new headset - same issue (headsets and cable work fine on other phones)

Removed the old phone rom the CM and configured a new one - same issue,.

I have compared phone and line settings with other phones on our CM,. cannot see anything different.

Any suggestions pls?,. my knowledge at the moment is limited as the system has only been in for a couple of months,.. I am still finding my way around.

Any help much appreciated,. Jon

 
Hi,.

Have tried 2 different types,.

GN2000 with GN Smart Cable,.

Agent 600 headset with matching smart cable,.

We have probably 50 other users with the same headsets and no issues.
 
turn the volume down on the phone and the headset. That is usually the issue. Turned up too high causes feedback (translated by the end user as echo). Also if there are settings and/or dip switches on the headset make sure they match the rest of the headsets that are working.
