BAZINGA!

I'm not insane, my mother had me tested!

The One-X Portal for Windows only has one msi file.
This happened before and it should contain more files :)
Always nice these little mistakes :)

They stopped doing it for every phone.
They still ask the same price though :)

Has anybody managed to get a copy of the IP Office Power Demo form that we need to fill in to get the V7 upgrade licences for the demo kits?
I have looked on the Avaya BP site but it doesn't seem to be there!

Your Disty/Avaya Account Manager should be able to sort that our for you.

Football is not a matter of life and death-It is far more important!!!!

Disty didn't have the form yesterday and we don't have a known Avaya account manager as we don't sell any kit.

Its usually a case of download the form off the business partner portal, send it to the disty and then wait 2 weeks for the keys to come through.
You would expect Avaya to have sorted this out by now, and have the dem licences available to us before going GA with the software. Unless you have been on the field trials or are brave enough to install a V7 system on a customers site without even having had chance to have a look at it then marketing bollocks about v7 is here on 23rd March is a waste!

You don't sell kit but have a Dem System???

We don't have it yet either.

The last time i asked for some licenses they where generated within 3 hours!!!

Yes Jamie, Installation & Support and we have 2!

And the form has just ironically appeared on the BP Portal website, looks like somebody uploaded the wrong one yesterday!

tlpeter,
That is the case for general licences, but for some reason dem licences always seem to take longer.

IPMonkey,

I work for a distri and we send those forms to Avaya.
The handling is moved to India so there is something changed.
Normally it took very long but the last time it was very very quick.
I already made the joke that they get payed per request :)

At least switching form "Quick" to "Standard" doesnt require a licence.

How many of you are considering actualy using "Quick Mode"?

I do not Have A.D.D. im just easily, Hey look a Squirrel!

I am not.
It is just a partner edition which in my eyes is going back to the 1980's

It is an ipoffice with great options and features.
And then you want to "downgrade" it to a partner???

But I do see the Quick mode as pointelss.

Avaya insist on BP's having people properly trained to sell and install the system. So why release a mode that nobody is trained on and claim it's to make it easier to install and maintain, when it's already easy enough and you need to be trained anyway? And it imposes limitations on capacity and features but with no price reduction......it makes no sense to me at all :)

Good point about the training
are avaya now planing on introducing a 2 tier training program

Tier 1 Muppet Mode (sorry Quick Mode)
Tier 2 Standard Mode

I can see a lot more disgruntled customers coming our way for support after Kermit & co. make a complete has of things.

A star for the Muppet mode :)

It should be 100% obvious to anyone who has been dealing with Avaya for the last few years that Quick Mode is for those customers who buy off of the Internet from the "business partner" with zero technical skills. We all know who they are, they are the ones with phone or telecom in their web site name when I doubt they could even pick a phone out of a police lineup nor define the word telecom. Yet they push a ton of boxes becuase they request a special bid from Avaya to get a deal, throw a ton of extra phones and such on the bid that really end up in their inventory and undercut the honest and traditional BPs out there. The BPs who actually learn the product and keep technically skilled staff.
