*67 caller ID block in IPO

So we have had IPO for about 6 weeks and someone walked into my office and said how the ___ do I make a call with caller ID blocked. He tried 9, *67, number, *67, 9 number and neither work. We are in a sales related field and sometimes the only way to get someone on the phone is to call with the block on (used tactically and judiciously).
 
And what have your maintainer / installer said about this then?

a short code like 9N / WN / Dial / <LGID> should suffice. W being withhold and N is the number dialled.

Installer said he would get back to me, he didn't know the answer. Thought it might be something simple that we are missing.
 
+1 with HSM, kick your maintainer to the curb and get one that knows what they are doing. This is IPO 101, I can get my 10 year old daughter to program that on our home system.

My guy is coming to do it tomorrow at 7AM. Full disclosure, my guys were the top Nortel guys in my market by a long shot; pick a bit Nortel CS install and they did it. They are learning Avaya and are doing 2-3 IPO installs a month with all the promotions to migrate off old Nortel hardware, so I'm being patient as I can reach them on weekends/cell, etc. anytime.

They did say that the help they used to get from Nortel was easier and better than Avaya.

That isn't hard to imagine.....Getting answers directly from the Scarlet Pimpernel on how to configure CCR is probably easier.... and more accurate in response :)

this would take in my company less than 10 minutes to do, including getting a coffee.
remote access would enable us to make the change and I would not have to Google the instructions neither would any of our guys actually.

However

I think it is great that you are loyal to them and hopefully they will proof themselves but also tell them that this is ok for something minor but they better shape up and learn the darn thing or they will struggle on something hard and really make someone unhappy. There is also no need to come to site as remote access is the single most important thing you have to have on the IPO. It will allow you to intervene fast and efficiently and will not cost you a lot of time driving or even postponing a job until next week Friday because you are booked out.
