*67 Block caller ID on PRI

Is it possible to use *67 to block your caller ID on a per call basis over a PRI?

Short code of 9 grabs my main office PRI ARS table. It's pretty much a defualt entry that points to the line group id of the PRI.

It sounds like it's counting the *67 as 3 digits of the phone number, because before I get to the last 3 digits it's sending the call to the switch.

I tried playing around with the ARS table by adding a XXXXXXXXXXXXXN entry and that lets me actually dial the whole *67 with the 10 digit number but it doesn't actually block the caller ID though.

Any thoughts or other work-arounds?

instead of sending a number in your ARS use the W. so the telephone number would be like NsW and it will send withheld out.

To reiterate what kwing112000 said;

I just tested a user shortcode of *67 that lead to an Alternate ARS that had 1NSW or NSW in the number field and it showed up as "Private Number

Interesting. I didn't know about the W for withheld.

I just tried the same exact thing. Made an alternate ARS with 1NsW and NsW for the telephone numbers.

While the call completes, it does not withhold the caller ID. Any other variations to try, or is it likely the switch not following what we're sending?

Here's how I have it setup:
User Shortcode

Dial
*67

TN
(Blank)

Feature
Dial

Line Group ID
ARS you created

in the ARS:
Code: TN Feature Line Group ID
1N; 1NSW Dial 5 (my main default is 5)
N; NSW Dial 5 (my main default is 5)

Give that a try.

The only difference on mine I had the default of Dial3K1, so I changed that to dial but no difference.

While the call is up I looked at it in system status. It shows digits sent to central office as the 10 digit number I dialed. The "Caller ID sent from central office" shows *67 and then the 10 digit number.

I think I need to check with one of my switch guys. I'm thinking the switch might be seeing those extra digits and stripping them as it comes in.

I think this proves what it's sending is correct.. (From Monitor)

With ARS of 1NSW:

InformationElement = CallingPartyNumber
0000 6c 02 21 a0 l.!.

With ARS of 1Ns4125551212
InformationElement = CallingPartyNumber
0000 6c 0c 21 80 34 31 32 35 35 35 31 32 31 32 l.!.4125551212
