I'm not sure if this issue is related to My BCM configuration, but

I have 2 66-blocks, and each one has 32 slots (16 on each side of the blocks) one block is filled, but the other block, i have one side with 16 blocks used, and the other side has 8 blocks used.

Does anyone know where or how to enable the remaining 8 blocks in my BCM so I can use them? i see wires connected on the remaining 8 blocks

(349kb)

The thing I am wondering is if the vendor disabled those ports to keep someone from plugging in or so that they could make some profit from return visits for adds. So I would check to see what the last working port number is on that module and verify the status of those last 8 ports.

Please Read My Lips

a 4x16 only has 16 digital ports and 4 analog trunk ports, so you won't get any more phones then you have working now unless you change the 4x16 to a 32 or a 32+ but you'll be giving up the 4 Trunk ports.

I don't norm, ally say this, but I think you need a vendor to help you leaRN A LITTLE ABOUT YOUR SYSTEM.

I'm going to purchase a replacement for my 4x16 card and replace it with a
Nortel BCM-DSM32+ 32 Port Digital Station Media Bay Module

is it difficult to change it out?

Would I Shut down the system.
pull out the 4x16.
insert the DSM32+, and
reconnect the 50pair cable

Do you have anything plugged into the ports on the front
of the 4x16? these are 4 analog trunks.

How many Modules do you have in the system?

What 50 pair cable? You only have 1 25 pair plugged into the 4x16. You would needanother 25 pair cable connected to a 66 block.

I have one 25-pair plugged into the 4x16.
nothing in the RJ15-looking plugs.

4 modules (BRI ISDN module, DSM32+, 4x16, and a DTI)
