Jamie, did you import the database ?

There is something mentioned in the getting started doc about the smtp settings.

honey, i fried the IP Office !!!

Sarcasm, it's only one of the services I offer.

db was taken from our Windows VM install. Docs just say that if it was upgraded, then SMTP will need to be updated in control panel and VM Pro CLient. Linux has no control panel so I can't do it there. Settings do not seem to stay correctly in client. It keeps changing the vm email address I enter and the logs show it trying to send the email via ngcnetworks.co.uk when I've put the SMTP Server address as ngc-cf1.

Very wierd.

Just rebooting it now.

and now I can't the VM Pro client into the fecking server. I've not changed the password from admin/NMYSBH.

I dont' like this 6.1 stuff! our SIP is off too.

Is that email address in use by a user perhaps ?
I have seen that giving problems with embedded too.

I'm now wondering if it arried over any VM Pro admins I had on my windows install. There is one programmed but I don't know the password for it as we never used it. anyone know where it is store or how to get it back without local access to the server (ie on linux so no local access).

If I can't find it I'm down to defaulting the linux box again!

FYI, there is a new "Getting started" doc posted that has more SMTP settings etc in :)

Jamie, have you seen the posting regarding SIP trunks not using the resolved IP address, manually entering the IP address instead of the Domain name fixes it :)

No, but I'll try. Just sent Brad another monitor trace.

I did see somebody else posted it.

Aslo a few people having issues with modules unresponsive on upgrade. I've gone through the upgrade twice now and had to power cycle our DS16v1 both time to get it working.

Sounds like the same problem that 6.0 has (module trouble)

Anyone been playing with CCR yet?

I sneaked it onto a customer site, and running the Agent Report Card reports for a months worth of Data takes a truck load of time.

I started the report for about 12 agents at 4pm and its still running.

I did have a play but i only have 3 users on that system.

To go back to the Aura Branch Edition Trial. Brach Edition went end of sale earlier this year ( so whats this trial all about??

Does this mean they are starting to use IPO as a media gateway for Comms Manager??

I know nothing about ACM hardware and have often thought IPO would get swallowed by the beast!!

Well the IPO seems to eat into ACM ground more with each release rather than the other way round, but time will tell :)

I cannot log this at the npi site.

well according to inside sources, the IPO platform already runs on linux. my prediction is the IPO as a hardware platform will be an option, then will stop....

can you say mini ACM?

It will in the future i think.
Every pbx can be run on a server, only the software must be written for that.

It just means that the marketing folks have very limited thinking around product names and will twist themselves into loops to try and not use the words "IP Office" as part of the name even though it is an IP Office.

When you make someone a "Branch User" it seems to want a mobile twinning licence available, you have to make the user a Power User then Branch User and it stops complaining, going from Basic User to Branch User brings up the warning again :)
