We just installed some 5620 IP sets on an IP office V4.1 and the displays are not showing any information after boot up.
The firmware version is 2.1. The 5610's work fine.
Any ideas?
Thank you

4.1?? Do you mean 2.1 as 4.1 is not out till later in the year?

If it is 2.1, you cannot use 56 series handsets on 2.1.

IP office is 4.1 and the 5620 is firmware version 2.1
We are using 5610's just fine.

if the 5620 has 2_1 on it then it is a very old one
upgrade the phone by using a tftp server
put this also in the phone
you can do this at :filesv

peter is correct, that handset is not running the correct firmware.

You need to make sure when the IP handset boots up you have the tftp server open with the right bin files for that version.

You can get the bins off the admin cd if you are using a 3rd party tftp server. If you are usingv manager make sure it is open and the binary directory is pointing to the manager directory. Also make sure you have the right manager suite installed. Also make sure the filesv address in the handset is pointing toiwards the manager pc.

Very good information tlpeter and platinumguy.
I used the solar winds TFTP and copied the Avaya CD4.0 all the files from the folder IPsets Firmware.

Then configured each phone to use the TFTP computer for the files server and rebooted the phone.

It saw the TFTP server running and began to download files. It took about 10 per phone but it worked.

Thanks for all your help!
