Currently we order our phones through an official AVAYA business partner, they sent me two 5610SW IP and when I hook them on the network I never get a star to program on DHCP. They seem to stay in DHCP for only 3 seconds before going to a call center not found. What would the easiest way to get these phones to read my config files (which they are completely missing) to be able to program these phones.

I was a ACIS / ACSS for AVAYA for a couple of years and never ran into this issue. Any help or suggestions would be appreciated [smile]

P.S. I am using an IP Office 500 v2 running 8.0

This sound to me like they have been configured for VPN operation & the ability to change programming has been disabled

I made this mistake myself earlier this week whilst trying to configure a 9620 & it is now toast

send them back to the BP

56XX handsets are no longer available new so it does not surprise me that you have been supplied with 2nd hand units.

if your IPO is on V8.0 then both 16X & 96XX handsets are supported.

A Maintenance contract is essential, not a Luxury.
Do things on the cheap & it will cost you dear

I feared this was the answer, thank you for confirm this for me I will get with my provider and get these phones returned. Thank you so much.
