I'm firing up these 5602's with a 412 (3.1.5602). I have all the users created as well as the VoIP extentions all set to codec G711 U-Law. The problem I have is that %75-%90 of the time, when I get to the "Ext=" prompt for a newly added 5602, I'll put in a correct extension number, and the phone will then display the extension number but not the name and will be locked up.

However, using the command Hold L-O-G-O-F-F# and then re-entering the same number will bring back the phone to normal status with the extension number and name and magically work correctly. All the phones are on the latest firmware. This only seems to happen to a phone when it is first registering a user. Any ideas? Is this known issue?

sound strange
i had something simular with a couple of phone's
they did download there firmware
and then after that i did put in the ext. number and password
after that it started all over again with the firmware download
sometimes the phone did this a couple off times before it worked
but this was 1 out of 10 to 15 phones

ps. this was with 3.1.48

I've also had this happen when adding a 5602sw to a small office edition too. All my 5610's, and 5620's always come up fine though. Anyone else seen this on a 5602?

is hot desking being used and is manager open while the phone is booting up?

No and No. A seperate TFTP server is up and running though, just to supply the .txt and .scr files
