I have some 5602sw assigned with static ip's that work fine. My small office is the TFTP server and the files reside on the compact flash card. Everything is latest release for firmware (3.1.5602) This works fine, however when the phones look for the TFTP server they cycle through this;

a HTTPS with the ipaddress of the Small office and tries to connect via port 411

then a HTTP with the ipaddress of the small office and tries to connect via port 80

and finally the phone just connects to the ipaddress of the small office with the port 69, in which it finally recieves the 2 files (the .txt and .scr files)

This makes for an extremely longer than normal bootup due to the phones timing out on the bogus HTTPS and HTTP TFTP server.

Is there a way to just make the phone connect to the right one the first time? I've entered the TFTP server address statically, and didn't see an option to specify the port?

Can anyone offer any solutions or comments?

Thanks

install an external tftp program on a server
give the phones that ip adres and your done

Well of course that'd work, but they have no server, and that's not an option. It seems when you assign a static ip to these 5602, they cycle through different forms of a TFTP server.

That's how the latest release of firmware for the phone works..

You could instead use a webserver to provide the files via HTTPS/HTTP. That works great!

I would expect that you could change these settings in the 46xx.scr file. I have read that this may be possible but havnt had a chance to try it myself.
