Is there an option to enable pop-ups for incoming calls similar to YA?

We were using YA as a receptionist's console, and then we switched to the 5550 console. The receptionist's miss the pop-ups for incoming calls..

Thanks

Ron

you can set the 5550 console software to pop up as a whole on a incoming call or not?

Is that what you want?

Yes. I would like the 5550 console to pop-up for incoming calls.

I didn't see an option for this.

The 5550 popup is used to activate the 5550 on incoming calls when the application is minimized to access other PC app's. This is not the same as YA that provides a small popup with caller ID info and an option to answer.

The Maximize on Incoming call (popup) is under the options settings on the 5550.

Yes. "a small popup with caller ID info and an option to answer" is what I'm looking for.

Oh well...

Not going to happen with the 5550 console.

I think that the console is nice but not more then that !
It should be possible to have a field with customer information based on incoming CLI !

Say what?

The 5550 has very complete fields on both the source and destination caller id.

Agree with kwbMitel, 5550 is very cpmplete for call information. Verify you are using (have open) correct tabs in the center section marked Queued Calls on the left. For incoming information you will require "Incoming Calls" Tab to be open. Note that the console is not designed for call screening, so the incoming call information is only present after the call is answered.

And that is the biggest problem !
I know it is designed that way but a receptionist needs to know information before answering a call

I know you can use the softkeys for company names but 6 keys is sometimes not enough

Sometimes customers answers phones for other company's
Then it should be possible that there is a pop-up with information like "take message and email to" or simular

I know it is not designed that way but i thing it is time for a change

Yes, your observation is valid. The caller ID is not presented prior to answering.

I run into that once in a while but for the most part it is not an issue.

Mitel has a design change request process that you can engage.

Can you give me that or point me to it ?
I know a customer who demands it :)
His old cheap system could do it is the argument :)

You need to have Mitel Online access or know someone who does to submit a DCR.

Another means is to join the Mitel Users Group.

You can see Caller ID before answering, it shows number (and name if Alpha Tagged) in the "incoming call field". This show the caller ID for all queued calls. If you recognise a number or name further down the list you can double click on it and you answer that call

kwbMitel, i will check that

Mitelmatt

I read about alpha tagging
Right know i have used system speedcalls
When there is a call is see the caller and dialed number
But i am not sure how to use the alpha tagging

Do i just put in 9~0123456789 with the name i want it to have ?

make sure that you also turn on alpha tagging in system options

Ensure aplha tagging is enabled as suggested:

the format that works for me is:

say my number is 07911 123456 i wopuld put the ~ after the Area code, to look like 907911~123456

Not sure where speedcalls are coming into the equation for incoming call id?

Alpha tagging is enabled (saw it)

When you use speedcall the speedcall is shown as dialed number

So if my speedcall is 123456 (your example) then 123456 is shown on the console

So i think i need to add 9~123456 but i am not sure

sorry i'm confused, we're talking about incoming calls aren't we? or are we talking generic Alpha tagging now?

I refer to this

You can see Caller ID before answering, it shows number (and name if Alpha Tagged) in the "incoming call field"

So i talk about both :)

Or am i confused and it is not possible ?
