Speeddials have nothing to do with incoming calls.
So i guess you have a speedcall for outgoing calls yes?
So in answer to your question no you can't alpha tag a speedcall. But what i've done is both. put the real number into Telephone Directory assignment with alpha tagging (07911~123456) and then if you want put in speeddials aswell. The speedials will be for outgoing but the real name will be shown in the console upon incoming.
With the number in the tel dir it also means people can use the Phonebook to look up the name to call.
The point is that number 012-3456789 needs (for example) extension 789 to get the calls
I have a ddi range of lets say 500 numbers
They all need to ring the console
The deleted digits set on the pri are removed and the rest of the numbers are set in the speedcalls
The speedcalls can be routed to every extension i want
I did put in the speedcall in the Telephone directory but it did not show the name when the call came in
If i am not clear (it is all in my head) then say so and i try to explane it better

I tried that but it then shows the name but only when the call is answered and not when it is ringing
It is good enough for me but the customer wants to see it before answering
Maybe Mitel needs to make an incoming call route where you can set a destination for a DDI

mmm that's bizarre. Works when you use a normal phone instead of a console so can't see why it won't on a console. If i get a chance i'll have a play in the lab.
It works on a normal phone but not a console
Same with sending dtmf that works on a normal phone but not on a console (also stupid)

tlpeter,
a late reply I know but in one of your last entries you mentioned about no dtmf from the console. This can be done using a tones key on the console keypad
You mean that there is a special key for this
I have never seen it but i will take a look if i see a console

It looks like a CRM functionality. tlpater, could you describe your task in simple words regardless of existing solutions? I have got some software which, I think, can be customized for what you are asking. It is possible to put just a regular phone on the operator's desk, run this application similar to YA Lite, which can control deskphone and pull Caller ID information from a database trough ODBC. So it may look like a small pop-up with option to answer on the hardware phone.
Or it may be possible to open a form in a web browser using caller ID information or DNIS (if you need to handle calls for multiple companies)
What do you mean ?
All i want is caller id and name match in the telephone directory
The console should be able to show that
Even a nametag huntgroup does not do the trick while this works with normale display phone's
I already know some software who can do popup's but thanks for the offer
