Hi guy,

I have already configured all the stuff to get my 4422 IP Office phones automatically via the configuration file d42x02-config.txt
BUT there is a parameter I do not know how to configure.

I want all the IP phones ask for password after the extension number is typed ("Log on with:")

I can get things done via Display but not via the configuration file.

Any idea?

Best regards

Hi Juan,

When you initate the IP extension you can use a parameter ipexi:dir=1234,passw=1234;

Best Regards

Hi,

Thank you for your quickly reply.

IP extension nomber/code are already configured so "ipexi:dir=1234,passw=1234;" was already done

When I first plug a new phone it download from the webserver the d42x02-config.txt and configures itself properly. After that the IP phone shows the message:
"Log on with"
Here I must insert the extension but the IP phone doesn't ask for the password.

If I want the phone ask about the password I must perform the following steps manually in the IP phone:
Settings->Password->switch from NO to YES

After that the IP phone ask for the password. I want to avoid th manually part :p

Thank you

Juan

you must enable the line
LogOffRestriction=PermitIndividualLogOn
under the [system] section in the config file.

Hi,

Not necessary.
The problem is the first logon as the Ip Phone doesn't ask for the password when configured automatically from the d42x02-config.txt file.
If I set (from the display) the password setting to yes. The phone always ask for it

Any other idea?

Thank you

Juan

there is a parameter (checked in version R7M)
called "SaveUserPassword" under the section [Security].
set it to No and you will have the desired behaviour
