I have a customer who recently went from 3.0 to 4.2. They are using 4412 sets and since the upgrade caller ID does not flash on the screen for call waiting. They are still receiving the ring to alert them, but no caller ID flash.

Does anyone know if this is a function that went away for 4412 sets in any of the versions after 3.0? I originally thought it was 4.2.14, so I downgraded to 4.2.11 - it still dose the same thing. I have not experienced this with any 5410's running 4.2.

Are they on an IP500?

4406, 4412 and 4424 are only supported on external expansion modules. They are not supported directly on the IP500 system unit.

Bas you need a holiday :)
They are coming from 3.0 and i guess the did not upgrade the hardware to an ip500, possible but not likely :)

I've read that, but he could have had an old 406V1 3.0 and upgraded to an IP500 4.2.11....Hardware can also be "upgraded" :)

my test system has no caller ID on the lines but if I am on an internal call on the 4412 and get another internal call in then the display will toggle between the call I am on and the incoming caller, I am on a 406 V2 [blush]but that might be a test for you if you try that if you can get the internal caller to show up on the phone.

I tried internal and external, they get the alert tone, but no caller ID. Very weird.
