I tried installing Embedded today. Upgraded prompts, rebooted and saw them upgrade in Monitor. SSA shows the compact flash card, but when you look under voicemail, there is nothing. Its not recognizing it as a Voicemail card

Bad card? Tried numerous reboots, still nothing. I hate Embedded.

00031001.clp does that file still exist on the card?

you've also got a fairly recent TLB error in there, might want to take a look at that.

That file I mentioned is the licence file for the card, without it the card is useless, you ned to make sure it is there as if not it's off to Avaya as only they can fix it :)

Yes it is usually in the LVmail folder.

Are you running vista on the pc you tried to run the upgrade from...

the reason I ask, is that I don't think vista has a command line tftp command...

try from an XP machine or use embedded file management to upgrade the prompts

Take Care

Matt
I have always wished that my computer would be as easy to use as my telephone.
My wish has come true. I no longer know how to use my telephone.

Was the EVM card a new card?
Or did it came from a SOE, are the file on there G29?

???....you tftp is in Vista!!

Transferring Prompt Files Using TFTP
1. Extract the set of prompt files to a temporary location on your PC as detailed above.
2. Start IP Office Manager and receive the IP Office configuration.
3. Display the System configuration form.
4. Click the System tab.
5. In the File Writer IP Address box, type the IP address of the PC that you are using for the file transfer.
6. Click to send this configuration back to the control unit and allow it to reboot.
7. Open a Command prompt window (Start | Run | cmd).
8. Change the file path to the location where you have extracted the prompts.
• Transfer All Prompts
Type send711 followed by the IP Office's LAN1 IP address, for example send711 192.168.42.1. The batch file will start transferring all the necessary folders and prompt files. The whole process of transferring the prompt files can take up to 40 minutes.
9. When all the files have been transferred, close the Command prompt window.
10. Restart the IP Office control unit by removing and then reapplying power.
11. When the IP Office has restarted, wait approximately 10 minutes while it scans the new prompts that are available.
12. The IP Office Monitor application can be used to monitor this activity.
13. Test Embedded Voicemail operation by dialing *17 at an extension. Embedded Voicemail should answer and start to give you prompts.

Greetzzz...Bas

The files you need are G711, not G723 btw.

Its easiest to extract the prompts to the root of the drive, makes it easier to navigate to that folder in cmd.

It will never work without that file I mentioned, I didn't just make it up :)

If they don't wan't a lot of features so just 1 or 2 AA and some VMboxes then we sell EVM otherwise VMPro. It mostly depends on how many phones (money) they have. Installed a site today with only 20 extension they had VMPro/Sip/MobileTwinning(One-X)/RemoteVPN phones.
