39XX series phone firmaware upgrade

Hi,

Is there anybody who know the procedure on how to upgrade the firmware version to current version of 39XX series telephone.

We are encountering some problem on 3905 telsets and we want to upgrade the firmware version downloaded from the web. How can I transfer the file from my PC to PABX and what directory in order to patch in to the telephone sets.

The normal procedure is:
All commands in LD 32!

To check which version of firmware a single M390x phoneset has:

FWVU 12 0 6 3
****M3900 VERSION REPORT****
TERMINAL TYPE = 021
CORE FIRMWARE VERSION = 018
FLASH FIRMWARE VERSION = 032


To print a summary report of firmware versions currently connectet to the switch:

FSUM

**M3902 SUMMARY
040 - ON DISK

**M3903 SUMMARY
051 - ON DISK

**M3904 SUMMARY
046 - ON DISK
083 (083 ) - 000002 SETS FOUND

**M3905 SUMMARY
032 - ON DISK
032 (018 ) - 000029 SETS FOUND
083 (018 ) - 000055 SETS FOUND
024 (018 ) - 000011 SETS FOUND
000 (018 ) - 000001 SETS FOUND
000014 SETS NOT RESPONDING

Important:
Before updating a phoneset, make sure that the phoneset is logged out and during the updating prosses do not touch or unplug the phoneset ! It could destroy the complete phoneset!

To initiate conditional download to a M390x phoneset:

FDLU 12 0 6 10

SDL001 STARTING DNLG 12 0 6 10

SDL000 3905(12 0 6 10 ), VERSION 32, MAINT MODE. <--- this takes approximately 10 minutes

During the updating prosses (approximately 10 minutes) the phone will show a progress bar on the display.

If the download has been aborted by leaving the overlay you have to redo by entering the command
FDLF l s c u 12 0 6 10

I thought that new firmware can be uploaded in the PDT as of Rel 25.40

You can also set this up in LD 97 to schedule a run for all sets.

I have done all those things but what I need is the procedure on how to upload the firmaware downloaded from Nortel site to Option 11C using pdt commands.

As far as updating the firmware version on the switch is concerned, the loadware patches for 25.40 are available to authorized distributors on Nortel's web site. I would recommend that lemonheads have his distributor install the latest loadware patches and then he can schedule uploads to the sets.
