Hi Guys,

I have a strange one. I have a user who we replaced his 2616 with a 3904. His phone was setup using a cpy 1 command and the dn's were replaced. The phone that was copied works correctly. This user's phone still rings through when forwarded to VM. Our Callpilot VM is 7000. Here is the printout. Anybody see a problem?

Thanks,

It is impossible to CFW extn 2121 on that phone.

To CFW a DN, it must meet one of these conditions:

1. it is KEY 00 (or the DN if a 500 set is CFWing) and may appear on other phones.
or
2. it is not KEY 00 but has only one appearance in the system.

In your case, 2121 appears "twice" on the same TN.

Here is my troubleshooting guide on the topic

Looks like you copied an ACD set, could be corrupted now, otherwise your KEY 0 is the extension that would go to mail and your key 0 is acd, acd cant go to mail like this

Just change the persons KEY 4 to a backup number rather than a second MCR of 2121. Then the whole matter will be resolved as long as 2121 does not appear anywhere else.

Thanks for your quick responses. I have two followup questions. I thought the corruption problem went away once you were on 4.0 or greater.

Second, here is the phone I copied from that works perfectly. I have many 3904's with this config. This is just curiosity at this point.

Thanks,

Doug

Ah hah. I got it. Thanks Guys. I din't realize I hadnt changed those phones from scr to mcr on the extensions. I thought I had.

Corruption issues never went away and never will.

Not that you included it, but the phone you copied from works just like this:

1. it is KEY 00 (or the DN if a 500 set is CFWing) and may appear on other phones.
