I recently attempted an upgrade on my 3300 to 9.0.1.7 and unfortunately it seems my PC went to sleep during the upgrade, causing the process to fail.

Now I can no longer access the unit and the leftmost LED just flashes RED. When I access the unit through the console port, I only see consecutive "X" on the Hyperterminal window.

Is this box toast??

Thanks

Continuous xx'x usually indicates you are connected at the wrong baud rate.

9600,n,8,1 is the standard rate.

What type of controller are you working with?

same thing hapened to me few day ago.i have reinstalled manualy the software via the serial port (the procedure in explained in the tchnician's handbook)and i restored the database with success.

I have now accessed the 3300 via console port. I am trying to upgrade the software using my PC as an FTP server via the motfcc process (page 165 of the technician handbook). But I am unable to connect to the FTP Server from the 3300 (I see no connection requests in the FTP log).

I know the FTP server is working properly cause I can connect to the FTP with another PC without any issues.

Any ideas?

Did you set it up right in the Mitel ?

Can you show us ?

I have the 3300 set as 192.168.1.2 and the laptop statically set to 192.168.1.50. I can ping from the laptop to 192.168.1.2 but only when the cat5 is connected to the 10/100/1G LAN port. When connected to one of the other 16 LAN ports, I get no response.

After this it says error loading file: errno 0x3C. Also, I do not see a connection attempt on my laptop FTP server.

thanks

You need to be connected straight on the Mitel, no other networking on it !!!

Do you have a firewall running ?
I did have this problem with Mcafee !
