Hi

I am in the UK, 3300 Cxi MCD4.1, all outbound IP traffic goes via a Juniper firewall
Trying to get SIP trunking working with Gamma.
The SIP link is active however I am unable to make any calls.
Gamma believe they have identified the problem, within the packet the connection infomation field states the ip address of the phone making the call (a lan address), when it should state our external IP.

Gamma believe this is down to the juniper firewall configuration.

Has anyone experienced this? Has anyone successfully implemented SIP trunking on a 3300 with Gamma?
Has anyone implemented SIP trunking with Junipers and had any problems.

Any feedback would be appreciated

There is a how to guide on MoL. Have you looked at this? I have done a couple of Gamma IPDC circuits in the past and I always have issues with getting the link working.
Have you told Gamma that this is a Mitel 3300? From my experience they have to build their end of the link different to normal.

After making a call, check the software log. It might say something like "error in topmost via header" which version of gamma sip trunks, ip auth or account auth ?

The juniper needs to enable SIP inspection.

Yes I have followed the guide on MoL.
Gamma know its a 3300.
Using IP Authentication method.

Gamma basically stated there are known problems with 3300's behind Junipers when linking to there network - all they can state is the information in the IP header is incorrect.
It sounds to be more of a juniper issue than the 3300.

One of my colleagues found the following link -
Sounds like I am not alone with this problem!

PROGRESS - SIP calls now fine, link reliable etc, 2 way voice - alls good!!!

One final problem .... how do you restrict CLI outbound, on ISDN I would insert 141 however this isnt possible on SIP.

Gamma have advised:-

The CLI can be withheld in in 3 different ways:

1. In the PAI Header: Privacy = ID
2. In the RPID Header: Privacy = FULL
3. In the From header of the SIP invite message: ANONYMOUS

I have messed around with teh SIP peer profile settings to no avail.

has anyone managed to configure the Mitel to withhold CLI?

Thanks

CPN Restriction set to 'True' in your SIP peer profile

If this does not work you could always put in a default CPN to an unused number
