3300 RADs

We have a 3300 Cxi (4 VM ports)
WE moved to ISDN2 from POTS, so we wanted an announcement on the three 'old' numbers advising of the new number, and then transferring to a multicall key - This all works fine, however it takes up 3 VM ports, which isn't great.
Anyone know of another way of doing this?

also try using an information only mailbox...this doesn't take up any ports but requires that you use on of your voicemail box licenses.

If I use information only mailboxes can the call transfer to a mulicall key after the announcement is played?

been awhile since I used an Infomation only mailbox. I am pretty sure that once the message is played, the caller will be returned to the Main Greeting. I don't think that it is adjustable. I could be wrong, so you may want to read up on it.

How advanced do you want to get?

How long do you need it?

You could get by with 1 vmail port dedicated as a VM rad port.

You need to use ACD path programming however.

Create a phantom agent group (Pilot number doesnt matter)
Agent group must have the option Allow Queuing with no agents logged in.

Create a phantom Path (pilot doesnt matter)
Assign agent group
Assign VM Rad (even with 1 port always use a hunt group for the rad)
Path Interflow to your multiline key after the duration of your message.

Terminate your LS trunks to the Path.

voila
Because ACD paths create listen only conferences for multiple callers 1 port can handle all 3 lines.

Keep the message short though.
