3300 ICP Version 7.0

Guys,

We have a customer with a CXi Controller with a faulty Hard Drive.

Software Assurance is INACTIVE and last time controller synched with AMC software version was 3300 Rel 7.0.

I managed to install version 7.0 on new hard drive but it seems that there is an issue with that version of software and the Layer 2 switch. So... questions are:

1. Can I install 9.0 and still download licenses? Remember SWAS is INACTIVE.
2. Can I install 7.1 and still download licenses?

While trying one version and the other I telneted to port 2004 where I got the error message mentioned above.

I had 2 controllers where I was doing my tests, etc.

One of the controllers, the one that I telneted the MIPS procesor, is not showing things correctly, I don't see the forms, if I click on help I get Tomcat error. Controller is not working.

I have tried reinstalling software, replaced hard drive and always getting the same results.

Question: Any Idea if I have screwed the MIPS procesor by simply connecting to it?

When entering Mips Reset it gives me a list of 50 items but I'm unable to reset the MIPS...

Just connecting to the processor shouldn't do anything like that to it. Now, if you changed something, that's another story. I've had MXE's with flaky MIPS controllers before, it's possible the same chipset is used in the CXi, but aside from having a handful of bad controllers that I sent back to Mitel, I don't have more information than that.

I did hit enter several times after connecting to MIPS procesor, also enter random leters, etc... Most probably that i changed things...

Any Idea how to restore MIPS procesor?

Support Guys won't be very happy...

Guys, I have it all working.

I installed a working hard drive with software in it and let it boot completely. Then I swap hard drive and installled software from scratch using FixPartition.

Synch with AMC, controller is working again.
