I’ve got a 3300 customer using a 5320 IP phone. The MWI lamp on the phone keeps blinking even when there are no voice messages in the mailbox. I did a locate feature on the extension and nothing unusual showed up. I had the customer dial the FAC Message Waiting Deactivate to try and clear the lamp. That did not work. Do you have any suggestions to clear the MWI lamp?

Thanks

Now I'm told the MWI lamp has cleared. She pressed the envelope button on the phone to read the message and she was able to. Afterwards, she cleared the message.

It will likely come back tomorrow

You likely have a message in MB zero that dials the extension or in a Hunt group MB associated with the extension

Is it always necessary or required to have MB for the Operator since it causes many of the MWI issues

I setup my Dial Zero mailbox as a transfer only.
