Anyone experience below and resolved

Using IE 7 or 8 or avant, can log into ESM, select system admin tool button and opens new window. During the window download receive the follow pop up error:

"A system error has accurred. Please note the following information and contact technical support.
The download of the specified resource has failed.

(xsl/uwi_RenderAppAreaSel.xsl,line 0)"

Can press the asscoiated "OK" button in error window to close and The drop down options box contains nothing and config menu options don't appear in left hand column. Cannot do anything apart from clicking / selecting "about" "help" or logout buttons.

Have restarted "webserver" at command line and didn't fixed. Next steps potentially a restart but will seek tech support first.

tried on more then one PC?

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

Thanks for suggestion

yep works fine from another PC using IE or avant.

God I hate IE!

Good luck figuring out what is causing the error ( ah! sarcasam ).

2nd that, I avoid IE 9 nowadays.....if I can...........Tolerate IE 8.

The problem usually encountered is accessing a client sites through their RDP to a TS and server has IE 9 and the administrator locks down stuff....Grrrrrr...

Anyway rebooted machine and all good......What was frustrating this time around, not even avant worked, I suspect that its engine is similar to IE and shares some resources/settings??

I have had issues with IE9 on some sites yet others work fine, no rhyme or reason. I know it is not supported yet.

I have also recently started using Firefox with the "IE Tab 2" addon. It seems to work well, it has a IE7 and IE8 compatibility mode. Google chrome also has an IE Tab Plugin that works as well I think, it's called "IE Tab Multi"
