3300 CX VM Ports

I added members to the four VM Port IDs but they also show up in the VM configuration automatically to the extend that my mbox licenses are being consumed contrary to my intention. How could this happened or it is normal ? I only have the 8 basic licenses

What exact form did you use to program the ports extension numbers

Likely put the under Users and Service with the default to assign mailbox

LOL, just upgraded a customer to v8 that had some ports named. In Users and Services it now complains that it can't display the extension. These are embedded vm ports. From this I gather that Mitel doesn't want you to label the ports and if you have a MiCollab it just makes for more work. This was a move from 6SP3 with digital to 8 without and adding the MiCollab

Still working on the MiCollab and proper extension association.

Yes, but why didn't they make it an option of programming via the Users and Services form. Now you have to create the phone and then remember to visit the Tel Dir to remove it from the phonebook directory.

Likely the same reason that the entry from the did table gets removed if assigned user gets deleted

Or if you set a sip phone as private in the directory.
