trying to remove a single line appearance to change to a multiline or key system setup. I have tried to deassign the line appearance, tried to remove the set entirely. System gives a "internal system error".
Machine is a 3300, release 4.1SP1, active software load 10.1.1.11.2.
Any thoughts out there?
Thanks

The line appearance may appear in other forms, e.g. Call Reroute Always.

You should be able to program a key on another set with the same DN and line type "Multicall". This will automatically make the single line appearance to Multicall.

If the line appearance happens to be a MWI appearance and the MWI flag is set (true) then you will have to clear the mWI flag before you can delete the line.

as the others say there can be a number of reasons why you can't deprogram a single line appearance. Some of the most commone are:

its a reroute destination in the call reroute always, first or second forms.

it has a name in the telephone directory.

its the only member in a ring or hunt group.

Check those possibilities.

I'd tell you a UDP joke but I'm afraid you won't get it. TCP jokes are the best because you always get them.

I got back on site today, and did discover that the line appearance was indeed programmed in the call reroute table.
Removed the appearance, problem solved.
I appreciate all your inputs.

Usually the error popup is more explicit in its message by telling you that the number appears in the call rerouting table specifically.

I had dismissed the possiblity due to the description.
