Hello,
First of all, any help is appreciated.
Second, another user had this exact same problem back in February of 2000; there was one reply, but it does not help me.
Bottom line: I have a 2501 with 16MB RAM, 4MB of flash. When I start up the router, I get the following:
System Bootstrap, Version 11.0(10c)XB2, PLATFORM SPECIFIC RELEASE SOFTWARE (fc1)

2500 processor with 16384 Kbytes of main memory

- Right here is where it hangs. . .I have tried the following to fix this:
1.) Replaced the Boot PROMs (they were version 9)
2.) Swapped flash
3.) Tried the break sequence. When I do a break, I get this:
Abort at 0x10A866A (PC)
>
- However, I can not type anything once I've "broken out". The keyboard is dead.
Has anyone ever come across this? I have not before, but others have had the same problem. This router was fine a couple of weeks ago. . .
Again, any help is greatly appreciated.
Thanks!
