200ICP with 2Way DID T1 trunking.
All calls that go out display the main number (the first assigned DID number).

No big deal, except the fax is a different DID number than the main number.

I know I can send whatever I want with an NSU using the modified digit table; but would that be the same for a T1 on a Quad CIM?

I guess my question is, how do you send the station's DID number as Caller ID for outgoing calls - but selectively (90 % of the outgoing calls should display the main number).

I'm not understanding. Are you saying that you have placed a T1 directly on a CIM port?

I'm sorry - Its been a long day...
The T1 is connected to the Dual Framer T1/E1 card in MMC 1.

It looks like I can use Form 22 to accomplish this. But I wonder if I can still send the main number for extensions that do not have DID numbers.

If your trunking is T1 and not PRI, the only way you can send digits from your PBX is if the trunks are Feature Group D (a.k.a. two stage on DEX central office switches.) If they're plain T1's to most carriers in North America, the CallerID is supplied by your LEC, and not your PBX.

If you're using PRI, you set this up via IMAT in the CPN tables (not form 22). You'll need to install IMAT on your laptop or PC and connect to the PRI card directly with an Ethernet cable. IMAT is a whole other animal, as is programming protocols and CPN tables on the PRI. You might be well advised to enlist the aid of someone who has done it before.

Thanks for the info.
This is my first regular T1 - I have done a few PRIs and prefer them. I have a pretty good handle on IMAT too.
So it looks like I'm stuck sending out the main number as my caller ID if I can't use the *6 in form 22... Probably not that big a deal anyway, just thought it would be nice for the fax machine to give out its DID as Caller ID.
