We've recently upgraded 4 SX 200-ICP sites from rls 3 to rls 4 and at each site after the upgrade we're experiencing low audio levels on the LS trunks. In rls 3 in form 13 there was a setting you could use to set the line length to extra long. That is no longer an option in ver 4.

Anyone have a workaround or a fix?

Thnx.

Never mind....
Found the document for the LS Milliwatt test. Apparently the level setting now occurs automatically, but you have to run the milliwatt test.

Too bad you can't give yourself a star.

That was going to be my answer but you beat me to it.

Occam's Razor - All things being equal, the simplest solution is the right one.

The LMT will measure and rate your LS lines, then match to the best internal setting that the system has, so it should be run on every install/upgrade.

Having said that, you should still be able to override the suggested settings. Can't think of where off the top of my head....

Well, a problem...
In rls 4.0 3.12 there is no Audio Configuration Table subform under form 13.

Now what?

I haven't touched a SX200ICP in some time, but if you've run the LMT, it will give you the recommended trunk settings, fill in the trunk circuit descriptor form with the settings.

You cannot run the LMT per the furnished documentation, which as usual, is incomplete.

However, literally buried in the Knowledge Base I found this document:
which provides the missing information. Odd this wouldn't be in the latest Rls 4 UR 5 (4.0.5.15) tech docs.
