Hi, Looking for a suggestion on how to have two different Music On Holds within our building. One would go to certain phones. The other source would go to others.

Here is a printout from our PBX:

DES MUS
TN 020 0 00 01
TYPE MUS
CUST 0
XTRK XUT
TIMP 600
BIMP 600
RTMB 40 1
CFLP 30
DATE 23 APR 2007

We've used the one source successfully for years. This second source will need to go to less than 10 DN's.

Where do I start? Thanks in advance!

You will need a new RDB with a new TN connected to your music source. Then see the Feature Guide - Music on hold, Set based.

Not gonna happen, music is assigned to the trunk route, not to individual phones

KCFLHRC take a look at the feature guide.
"Set-based Music on Hold provides the option to configure different music for callers on hold based
on the type of phone involved in the call. If a call is placed on hold, the destination side listens to
Music on Hold as defined in the TN block configuration.

Yep, I stand corrected. Never had an application for this. What release did this become available?
