Multiple subnets behind SSG, need to access thru netscreen-remote

I have set up several netscreen-remote clients to connect to a single subnet. Now I have a need to configure a netscreen-remote client to connect to multiple subnets behind an SSG. Generally, can someone point me in the right direction? I have read a lot of material, but I need some pointers...

For the record, I didn't think he had physical access to the machine and was trying to figure out an ip.

    IP Office discovery problems

Hmm. What kind of routers do you have at the site? From the data perspective, the IPOFFICE would have to be communicating through the router for its ip address and mac to show up. You could look at the arp cache on the router and match ip address to mac address. You would be looking at the...

Why isn't 3.1 available for download on the public avaya site?

Ah! A little validation from photon33 ! Thank you. It never made since to me that I am on 3.1 (on 406v1) and everyone is yelling at me to go back to 3.0.99. I figured I would run into an issue just as Photon33 describes, but I didn't know what it would be which prompted me to post here...

Why isn't 3.1 available for download on the public avaya site?

Wow. OK. Thanks for the input guys. Really, really didn't mean to offend anyone here. Really didn't feel like I was whining about anything, just trying to understand the inaccuracies and what people did in their best practice. Have a good weekend. BTW, Thanks again tlpeter.

Why isn't 3.1 available for download on the public avaya site?

Yeah, I guess I should have specified the fact I'm asking about 406v1 in the original question, but I didn't until a little later on. I'm not trying to beat this in the ground. I'm just asking the experienced experts what I should do to upgrade a 406v1 from 3.1(29) to 3.2.x. What brought this...

Why isn't 3.1 available for download on the public avaya site?

And so following up on tlpeter and jamie comments - 406v1 does require 3.1(65) before going to 3.2(x), but it is not available for download. In fact, 3.1(anything) isn't available for download on avaya site. Why is that? Am I still missing something here?

Why isn't 3.1 available for download on the public avaya site?

Ok guys - Well the 3.2 admin download included 3.0.99 bin but no 3.1(65) for the 406v1. I was sure hoping Provider was right, but 3.1.99 was the only bin included and it was for 406v2. So... What am I to do? Need to go from 3.1(29) to latest 3.2 and 3.1.65 is not available from Avaya. Anyone...

Do I Need a VCM to run IP sets (46xx)

TheTaker - I don't mean to digress from original question, but I do have a 4620 that is able to get logged into system with extension #, but as soon as I start dialing a number, it goes to "disconnected". Have you seen this? I do not have a vcm installed yet. yancey may run into this as well...?

Do I Need a VCM to run IP sets (46xx)

Hopefully, one of the other experts will add to this. I am trying the same thing, but with a 4620 w/ a 406 on 3.1(29). For ip to non-ip communication, the vcm is definitely needed. I thought for IP-to-IP communications the vcm would not be needed, but the manual reads (see below) that the vcm...

Why isn't 3.1 available for download on the public avaya site?

I'm trying to upgrade from 3.1(29) to 3.2, but need 3.1(65) to apparently get there. Why isn't 3.1 available on the Avaya site? anyone know?

Quick(?) question on configuring 4612 ip phone for IP406 3.1

The sniffer trace files never show a response from the IPOFFICE... I bet there is a problem with the firewall not allowing the IPOFFICE out.. there are connection limitations on that firewall (max #) that I had forgotten about. Thanks kwing112000 for helping me thing that through!

IP Phones at remote location connecting back to IPOFFICE 406

Thanks for the responses guys. Anyone else with success or failure scenarios? It seems to make sense that Avaya would not support the remote offices without being connected to an IPOffice onsite as TheProvider points out and because I've not seen any examples of this. Would other agrees as...

IP Phones at remote location connecting back to IPOFFICE 406

Hey guys - 1) Does anyone have up to 6 users at a remote location successfully connecting back to the host site (IP OFFICE 406) either through VPN over broadband or leased T-1? 2) Do you have regular problems/support issues? Does Avaya support this? 3) Are you phones statically...
