I'm trying to upgrade from 3.1(29) to 3.2, but need 3.1(65) to apparently get there. Why isn't 3.1 available on the Avaya site? anyone know?

Ah! A little validation from photon33 ! Thank you. It never made since to me that I am on 3.1 (on 406v1) and everyone is yelling at me to go back to 3.0.99. I figured I would run into an issue just as Photon33 describes, but I didn't know what it would be which prompted me to post here. Then everyone thought I was an idiot.

So it seems the only way to get the 3.1.65 bin is to use tlpeter's link or go through a distributor somehow. This is assuming that 3.1.65 is actually required to get from 3.1 to 3.2.x - which documentation says it is and photon33 seems to validate. I was hoping somebody here had the inside track on why it's simply not downloadable. Kind of curious, but NOT MEANT TO AGGRAVATE ANYONE. Maybe it's meant to keep systems that aren't under maintenance harder to upgrade.

I would reccomend moving into 4.0. I found it to have additional features which was useful for my organization. I am using an IP Office 406v2.

I also have found alot of outstanding issues that were resolved in later versions which presented certain implementation challenges.

Sizbut is completely right, do not always believe what is written : THINK FOR YOUR SELF!

There is no particular reason to be on the latest build before upgrading to another version.

Take a look at Tech Bulletin 90:(this list is incomplete!)

A lot of the problems with IP Office is the result of poorly-written documentation. The original post by icmpman is valid. If it were up to me I'd bite the fingers off those bastard tech writers. They need to do a much better job.
