I have encountered a very strange issue at a client's office and I am completely out of ideas as to what might be causing it. The infrastructure is as follows:
- HP server running MS Small Biz Server 2003 (server running DNS, DHCP, domain controller, active directory)
- 7 workstations all...
Well, turned out to be some partially uninstalled adware that was causing the problem. Ran a complete AdAware scan and removed everything and browsing capability was restored. Thanks anyway.
Believe it or not, Windows Updates have seemingly remedied the problem for the most part. Not really sure why but seems to have helped. Also making sure the server is all caught up on Windows Updates. Although, we do have one XP laptop that still has the problem on occasion. Haven't really...
Trying to remedy a situation with a home PC - looking for any ideas or suggestions. Home PC with Windows ME and AOL dial-up. You can sign on to AOL fine - can access e-mail thru AOL interface and a few other AOL features that are non-http. However, no http browsing capability, nor ftp -...
Having an issue with a Dell Inspiron 5100 with XP Pro. The user apprently installed some Kodak digital camera software then all the sudden got a BSOD on the next reboot. The BSOD is a REGISTRY_ERROR with STOP code 0x00000051.

Going on a year now, I have been unable to send mail to AOL from my domain. I have a static IP thru my ISP with Win2k server and Exchange 2k. All outgoing mails to AOL are returned undeliverable. So far the following determinations have been made:
1. My IP resolves to my ISP's domain rather...
jasona45,
Did you ever find a solution to your Exchange problem? I have been having the exact same problem on a number of machines on our network but have yet to find a solution. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks.
Brian
We have a few laptops in our office which have repeated problems logging on to the Exchange server. We are running SBS 2000 with Exchange 2000. Most PC's are running 2000 OS with Outlook XP 2002, but I have one that is running XP Pro OS that is having the same problem.
If the user starts...
I am having this exact same problem on a few laptops in our office. Same OS and software as mentioned above. Has anyone found a solution to this problem or have any suggestions? Thanks.
I have very little experience and/or knowledge of SSL so this may sound like a stupid question to some. I am running Win 2000 server with IIS 5.0. I am hosting multiple sites and to date, haven't had a need for SSL. But now I need to implement security for a couple of new e-commerce sites.

I have determined over the past day or so that someone has been SMTP relaying thru my company's server to send spam. I have already taken the corrective measures to secure & lock-down the open relay.
My problem is that when I realized what was going on, I went immediately to Exchange system...
Thanks for the response Grillhouse. The reason I am concerned about the print quality from the web is so if visitors to my website want to print one of the website pages, the graphics on the resulting printout will appear as sharp and clean as they do on the screen. Thanks again for the advice.
When using the "Save for Web" feature to save an AI image to a GIF, there is no obvious visual difference between the image at 256 colors with 0% dither and at 256 colors with 100%. Nor is there a difference in the file size going from 0% to 100% dither. If I can not tell the...
Looks like I was wrong about a few things in my original post. Thanks for the suggestion jAQUAN. I did not even realize there was an image sizing option when saving for the web.
I have been using Illustrator 9 for about 3 weeks. I am slowly learning how to use the program. I have a question concerning dpi's and graphics resolution. I have created an image (a company logo) in Illustrator - the size of the image is 300 pixels wide x 175 high. After creating the vector...
