I need help, because I am new to Backup Exec 12.5.
I am running a backup schedule 3 days a week, tuesday,Thursday and Sunday (which is the weekly backup).
So yesterday the schedule run but it used a sunday type instead of tuesday tape.
Little bit of explenation, i have HP storage...
on the back it says ntdu82BA on one of the phones.
On the second, i dont know at the moment, but i would say it should be with the same number.
So the problem with the restarting might be because the phones are Phase 0/1?
i just checked the phones after rebooting, and the firmware on both phones is 0602b76. But according to your description they look like Phase 2 sets.
Can this be the problem why they are rebooting?
So i should update the firmware on the phones, so this should fix the problem with the restarting?
well this is the software firmware that is shown in Element Manager for this phones.
For sure i can tell that it is phase 2 sets, because it is silver around the display.
Regarding the software, is there another way to check the firmware?
firebirdscrambler, i tried most of the cartridges you send me, but nothing, i tried also with newest version of Element Manager, again nothing.
Still same, i have few more cartridges to try, and i will see.
Also, i might have made a mistake with the version number, maybe it is BCM 50 R2.
the version is as they come with it, i havent update them or anything. 0602B76.
They are using power adapter, its not old square one. I got them like 3-4 months ago.
i have full admin rights on the machine from where i am trying to access the BCM. And before this problem, i was able to login to the BCM and it asked me for a cartridge to be installed.
I didnt take a look which one, i just press Yes, the cartridge was downloaded and since then i can not...
No, it doesnt tell me.
And also it does not give me a message popup, i can see the message in the down left corner of the window of Element manager.

i tried installing the newest version of the Element Manager, but still the same. I tried even installing the Element Manager on another computer that hasnt been used before for connection, but still nothing.
I still get the message Resolving cartridge identifier.
