    I tried this, but the Flash Player pops up a security warning message saying I need to change the Flash Player settings to allow Flash to close the window. Is there any way to have this work without having to change Flash Player settings?

    Nope, I can't. Try as I might, I can't get an integer value to start with a zero if it's greater than zero (two significant digits? i.e. 01 through 09) And I can't get away with using strings in my program.
