    Formula storage

You could always try a clipboard manager like OrangeNote: http://orangenote.littlesoftware.ca/ That program can store any number of text strings for later retrieval, it is even searchable or use Autohotkey to create a macro to paste your formulas via a hotkey that you would want. It is...

Ways of emulating v7 Distributed Reports

Crystal Reports stopped the compiled report feature. The easiest option would be to use a Crystal Report Viewer. Ido Millet makes an excellent viewer and report distribution software. www.milletsoftware.com

I have Crystal 11.0.0.2422 and 11.5.8.826 (Release 2) on one workstation (MS Vista) and I get the same issue using a Pervasive issue datasource. I also had a report using Access that while I can select the dynamic parameter, Crystal Reports crashes while refreshing. On another workstation(MS...

Problem using Extended Desktop with Crystal Reports

I run into the same issue. It appears that Crystal remembers where you have opened a box from the previous time. For Example, if you go to create a formula and open the formula editor on your 2nd Monitor, Crystal will open it there the next time as well. It does this even if you don't have...

Visual FoxPro memo field not displayed

If the service pack does not work, try installing the OLE DB for FoxPro and connecting through that way instead of ODBC. http://www.microsoft.com/downloads/details.aspx?familyid=e1a87d8f-2d58-491f-a0fa-95a3289c5fd4&displaylang=en

    Report Distribution

I think that you have a few options for this. 1. You can use Visual Cut as synapsevampire stated. It is a really good product, some of my clients are using it. It will schedule reports to be run and exported to PDF. http://www.milletsoftware.com 2. With Crystal Reports XI you have a...

Formula to calculate Average based on previous 4 dates

synapsevampire: Ok, I found the issue. The counter does not reset. The formula in the group footer was dividing 320 total hours by 41 (which was the total # of pay dates in history). I need to figure out a way to divide the 320 total by the number 4 or for the total number of pay dates if...

Formula to calculate Average based on previous 4 dates

Sorry: I noticed that you did include the average calculation. It doesn't seem correct yet. I am looking into it. The first employee had 80 hours each period. It correctly totaled to 320 hours but the average calculation in the footer only displays 7.80.

Formula to calculate Average based on previous 4 dates

synapsevampire: Thanks! The counting works correctly. I need to create the average now. I am going to try a few tweaks to the formulas to get it to divide by the total number that is in the counter, unless you have any other suggestions. Regards, Jamey Becker
