Hi All, does anyone know the command to use when ftp-ing form one solaris 8 box to another to get an entire directory and its contents. I know that I can tar the dir and ftp it but I would rather just ftp the dir if possible.

Hi, I have a script that I wana put on jumpstart server, so when we jumpstart new client it should run right after the jumpstart. when should I put this script. it is about disabling the ftp, sendmail and inetd etc. pls help.

I jumpstarted new sun machine with sol9, there is only one account root on the machine. when I login to cde it worked fine for couple days but now it give error "DT messaging system could not be started.

This could be the issue I will not able to get approval to install this in our production env....is there any thing that I missed cause it print small jobs but not over 50 lines....

I have put TMOUT=1800;export TMOUT in the /etc/profile, put it does not work, by the way the root default shell is sh. but I wana every one including root to terminate the session after setting idle for 1800 seconds. thank for the help.
