    Thanks to all but I did manage to find out how to get this to work. I do have another problem. How to I get two windows open one connect to com 1 and the other connected to com 2. Comm 1 will be used as a terminal screen and Comm 2 to capture the data. Thanks hrh

    Help with restoring VSS after crash

    Help!!.. The harddrive crashed where we keep our VSS database. Good thing we had a backup of the directory structure, but after restoring the files and reloading VSS we still can't see the old files. I tried running analyzer and DDUPD -REDO but still no luck - What am I doing wrong? Thanks hrh

    The bios settings in your old computer are probably set to user defined. Record the settings from the old computer then change the settings on the new computer from auto to user and input the settings you recorded.
