Hi everybody,

I'm trying to find a way to identify in an unique way each intel PC. How can I do it?. Does the Motherboard have an unique serial number? Is there any utility to retrieve it?. All this in Windows (98,2000, NT, and so)

If you have any information about how get an unique ID per PC's ..I'll apreciate it..

Thanks in advance..

JDP.

If they are networked, each having their own NIC card, use the MAC address. Very identifiable and unique.

Thanks.. but if they are not networked? Motherboard does not work here?

Why go to the motherboard? Why not use the serial number on the PC itself? Maybe I'm not following your needs very well.

It's OK. now, you know about some utility program that retrieve this serial number?
