I have a pc in my office whose .pst file exceeded 2GB - i fixed this by running the scanpst.exe - ever since this happened the user has not been able to add appointments - it all goes through ok but the appointments aren't saved in the calendar - this is on office 2003 - i can't see why...
thanks for the info - we just use plain IDE - no raid solution - we are using a hi spec pc rather than a server grade machine which may well be a factor
might be worth actually transferring all this over as I have a spare server lying around somewhere
