Hello,

I have a pc in my office whose .pst file exceeded 2GB - i fixed this by running the scanpst.exe - ever since this happened the user has not been able to add appointments - it all goes through ok but the appointments aren't saved in the calendar - this is on office 2003 - i can't see why this would happen and can't find anything on this online

Thanks in advance

I would suggest creating a new pst, and dragging and droping all contents of the old one except the calendar to the new one. Sounds like the old one was not all recovered by the scanpst.exe.

thanks, how do u omit the calendar when reimporting the .pst? cheers

Don't import it, just drag and drop the old into the new. If that seems like too much of a pain, you could just start using the new one, and keep the old one as reference storage.

I would just archive the archive file.
Either archive by date 2001-2 2002-3 etc or archive by folder like Supplier A - M, SupplierN-Z, Customer A-F etc.

Or do a search for emails with attachments >10MB and see what it throws up.

Let outlook do the work for you.
